No problem! Our hikes are designed to be accessible for anyone from complete beginner to novice. All mindfulness exercises are appropriate for everyone with clear, easy to follow instructions provided throughout.
We recommend that you have a moderate level of fitness for our hikes. On average the hikes will last 1.5 – 2 hours including breaks for mindfulness exercises. The level of difficulty level is outlined in the description for each of our hikes. Please read the description and consult your physician if you have any concerns before making a booking.
The hikes will last 2 hours therefore we recommend that you bring a pack with drinking water, weather appropriate clothing, comfortable & appropriate walking shoes for the area and sunscreen. You will not need to bring any expert hiking gear.
The mindful hiking experience will include a return transfer from the nearest train station to the starting point of the hike (where applicable). Your guide will share interesting notes about the area where the hike is taking place. There will also be some short exercises and meditations offered to allow you to enhance your experience of nature and the environment where we will be hiking.
For special events, detailed instructions will be provided to participants prior to the hikes as information required will depend on the location.
Our hikes will take place in a wide range of weather conditions This gives us the opportunity to accept the variety of experiences nature can provide even when not perfect. The weather will be assessed 24 hours before each hike and if there is a severe weather warning or the conditions are deemed inappropriate, participants will receive an email notification that the hike is cancelled. Please ensure you check your email the day before a hike when the weather is unstable.
